During his time under the instruction of Glenn Siebert, Ethan has performed in several events at UNCSA. Favorites of his include portraying “Caronte” in Joseph Haydn’s Orlando paladino with the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute, and “Figaro” in Le nozze di Figaro, Act II with UNCSA’s Opera Workshop. Upon finishing his undergraduate studies, Ethan spent his time exploring opportunities to sing in the triad and triangle regions of North Caronlina. In addition to continuing to work with and audition for colleagues in Winston-Salem, he sang with Greensboro’s Bel Canto Company under the direction of Welbourne Young. In Raleigh, his home town, Ethan sang with the North Carolina Opera, under then chorus master Scott MacLoed. His affiliation with NCO afforded him the opportunity to sing in a chorus for the great Andrea Bocelli at PNC Arena.
When he is not making music, Ethan is an avid video editor. He has aided in the production of promotional and educational content for institutions such as Family Piano Academy (FPA) in Raleigh, the Toxicology Education Foundation (TEF), and Voci Technologies, Inc.
Currently, Ethan is pursuing his Master of Music at East Carolina University, under the instruction of Dr. Daniel Shirley. In only his first semester, he’s already started to make his mark as Judge Turpin in ECU / Loessin Playhouse’s production of Sweeney Todd, which sold out three shows in a row.
